Prior to my operation, Mr. Arzoglou explained the procedure he would carry out and any problems that might occur. I was booked into Thornbury hospital and met Mr. Arzoglou prior to my operation to again go through any questions that I may have, and had my operation. Mr.Arzoglou came to see me the next morning at 07.15 and told me the operation was a success and as I was not in any pain I could go home after seeing the physio, which I did that evening. It is now 6 weeks after my operation and I'm in no pain and can walk further than I've been able to for a number of years. I cannot thank Mr. Arzoglou enough for everything he has done for me, without his skills i would have been in a wheelchair in 6 months time, thank you .

Mr.V.Arzoglou operated on me on the 17th.March2016.Recovery is still on going.When we first met Mr.V.Arzoglou we felt at ease he explained many questions for us.As a patient I would not hesitate in having Mr.V.Arzoglou as my surgeon.He also is very smart in his appearance.

I was impressed and filled with confidence in Mr Arzoglou from the first meeting after my MRI scan and the decision made to operate. He seemed to ask the right questions and be extremely knowledgeable about my needs. He explained what the operation would entail and that he had successfully completed the same operation many times. I wasn't anxious in any way during my weeks wait to go into hospital. On the day of my operation Mr Arzoglou talked both myself and my wife through the operation, again leaving us both confident in the outcome. After the operation he spoke with my wife and explained the procedure that he had undertaken and how the operation had gone, which left her reassured. He then took the trouble to visit me at 6am the following morning to check how I was and give advice. I am now extremely pleased with the outcome and my recovery. The operation is proving to be a great success.

Initially I was made to feel completely at ease regarding the procedure I would be having. Mr Arzoglou fully explained the procedure he was to undertake. Later, I was impressed, following a letter from Thornbury Hospital informing me Mr A would ring me at a specified time to ascertain the effectiveness of his treatment, that I received that call as planned. His words were of considerable comfort to me.

Mr Arzoglou listened as well as working on all the facts collected together. He gave me all the pros and cons of further spinal surgery and described in detail of how he would try to correct previous surgery and what new surgery he would do but also how he would make a final decision when in theatre. Although there were likely to be some problems remaining he felt he could make things better than they were. He then asked me to take my own time to consider the surgery. When I decided to go ahead I was put straight on the surgery list. All the way through the surgery, hospital care and after care I felt well supported and any questions asked were answered. I have now had my after surgery appointment and will not need to see Mr Arzoglou anymore and I would recommend him to anyone in a similar position to me
